Vital Health Testing Methodologies. We utilize HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) and/or FTIR (Infrared Spectroscopy) to test all raw materials upon receipt making sure that they meet our specifications. All raw materials are quarantined until accepted or rejected by the QC department. Samples of acceptable raw materials are maintained in our QC files for a minimum of four years. Random HPLC testing is done on all finished goods. ISO-Grid System testing provides a methodology for determining an individual samples total bacterial count. If raw material microbial counts are higher than allowable levels, the lot is rejected and returned to the vendor.
Vital Health Validation and Documentation.
Validation helps us to assure that each batch meets predetermined specifications. Inspections are conducted throughout the manufacturing process monitoring weights, hardness, conformation, disintegration and color. Documentation is conducted on all procedures and maintained at Highland Laboratories.
